Proper use of this web site requires an awareness that this is a fucking  joke. Herein we parody the eBay site to make a couple points about the "New Internet Economy." And to avoid being misconstrued as some malicious prank, read on. That's what small print is for, isn't it?

Although it behooves us to keep the status quo, we are baffled by the rationale behind disallowing the registration of "questionable" domain names. Particularly ironic, given that online sex sites are the only ones making any money. In a medium where making money is the de facto reason people register domains anymore, well, we find that downright silly.

Second, we parodied eBay rather than any of the bazillions of other online storefronts because it pioneered a particularly prescient business model. The online auction brings together buyers and sellers from the farthest corners of the commercial universe. It lets people provide feedback about each other so you can see if you can trust your bidders, and it takes a cut when both parties leave happy. True genius!

We hope eBay recognizes that we have invoked their site layout as a metaphor for the bustling marketplace that it is. Our invocation of eBay's look and feel is no reflection on eBay or any of its subsidiaries, parent companies nor employees. This is not an attempt to mislead its customers. Indeed, we would like to give shout outs again for its foresight and masterful execution.
